Co-owner Janae has been preparing for this moment her entire career. An early standout, Janae won the prestigious North American Hairstyling Award for “student hairstylist of the year.” The award kick started a successful styling career affording Janae the chance to work with prestigious celebrities and publications including work featured in Modern Salon and Behind the Chair Magazine among several others (the list is too long!). She counts her time as artistic director at a local lead chain salon as prep for the leadership position she’s in today as salon owner of Meraki House Salon. “I wanted to create a space where everyone feels free to be themselves – both those in my chair and those working next to me.” Her favorite part about doing hair is seeing someone feel good about themselves.
